SELECTION PROCESS

How are projects selected?

Projects are evaluated through a two-step selection process, designed to assess both scientific excellence and industrial relevance, regardless of the award category.

Eligible projects: Which types of research & innovation are eligible?

From fundamental research to applied research, all research and innovation projects are eligible, regardless of their Technology Readiness Level (TRL).

Eligible projects may relate to any segment of the cosmetics industry value chain, including:
  • Raw materials
  • Formulation
  • Packaging
  • Testing
  • Finished products
  • And more
Innovations may originate from the perfumery and cosmetics sector or result from technology transfers from other industries, including new technologies, products, processes, services, concepts, or organizational models.

STEP 1- HOW TO APPLY?

Applications must be submitted via the IDCosm platform.


To submit your application, fill out your project on IDCosm.com:
  • If you already have an IDCosm account:
    Log in, update your project by completing all tabs, then go to     My Projects and click “Apply for The Cosmetic Victories.”
  • If you do not have an IDCosm account:
    Create an account, add a project, complete all tabs, then go to     My Projects and click “Apply for The Cosmetic Victories.”

Applications are open until 31 January 2026.

STEP 2- SELECTION OF THE 6 FINALISTS

Online selection

After applications close, an International Scientific jury reviews all projects online.

The six finalists will be announced on 26 February 2026:
  • 3 finalists in the Research Academic Award category
  • 3 finalists in the Industrial Innovation Award category


 


STEP 3- REVEALING THE TWO WINNERS: FINAL EVALUATION & AWARDS CEREMONY IN PARIS

Before the final stage

Finalists will benefit from personalized online coaching provided by ESSEC Business School, designed to help them refine their pitch and fully showcase the potential of their innovation.

Each finalist will receive €1,000 to cover travel and accommodation expenses.

The finalists’ journey will culminate in Paris on 13 April 2026, where the six  finalists will present their projects before a Prestigious Industrial jury.
 
The Awards Ceremony will mark the announcement of the winners and celebrate creativity, scientific excellence, and the future of the cosmetics industry.
